Almost like a dream, they felt drawn to it. Shocked, Tara reminds her, “Glitch, cornrows are SO white trash.” So the girls find themselves in a strange and mysterious hole-in-the-wall tattoo shop. Because, as Maddy rightfully explains, “It’s super hard to find a tattoo place in the states that doesn’t check IDs AND won’t give you Hep.” Unsure, Glory suggests they all just get cornrows instead. On a whim, the girls decide to go get tattoos. She is looking for The One, the perfect spring break fling who will make all of her dreams come true. Glory, who is quite the frigid Glitch according to her friends, has remained chaste so far. And Tara loses her butt-ginity, despite her claims over the last year that she was saving that hole for marriage.
In that time, Maddy manages to give 3 unsuccessful handjobs to college frat boys to whom she swore up and down that she was 18. Glory (or “Glitch” as her friends call her, since she is the resident bitch, even by their high standards) and her friends spend their first few days in a sun and tequila soaked haze of beach and boys. Now 16, the time is finally here as Glory and her two BFNs (best friends for now) Maddy and Tara are making their spring break debut in Cancun. Not even Caroline’s two confirmed STDs (and one suspected abortion) can stop Glory from dreaming of the day when she too can experience the spring break of a lifetime. She has already looked up to her much older sister Caroline, who spent all four high school spring breaks in Cancun, during Cancun’s infamous MTV spring break heyday. Glory Cunningham has been dreaming about spring break in Cancun, Mexico as long as she can remember.
