I am sure that the real reason is that sales have slowed down. The fact that your name is outdated is a good thing in this world of ever vanishing companies and products. Like your Apple’s example, I am sure that If Apple would have come up with any “stupid” name, people would have still bought the products. We buy your products and recommend them because they are better than the others. To be honest, I don’t think people care much about your name (company or product). I am sure that you are spending some money on this change, which unfortunately is not going got be invested in the products but a external “advisor”, company’s logo, and other stuff. It’s hard to get used to a new name, it might feel foreign, that is all very normal. It has the same core, “bank”, which we love and then it comes from joining “bank” and “activity” - Banktivity. If you are scratching your head wondering how this name came about, it’s rather simple. So today we are announcing the end of the iBank name and the beginning of our new name for our apps: Banktivity. This all builds up to a steep hill to climb to truly own the name of our products. And fourth, “iBank” is sometimes used as an abbreviation for investment bank.
